OPPORTUNITIES

The Beloved Community Center (BCC) offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, for both students and community members, and internship opportunities . We offer the opportunity to connect and work with the latest campaigns, projects and various other important aspects of the organization while fulfilling class credit for students and/or fulfilling every citizen's service to their community.

Below are key areas that volunteers often work in:
-  Grassroots Community Organizing
-  Communications & IT Support
-  Community Garden

The Beloved Community Center, also, serves as a Community Service site for Guilford County where community members who are assigned by the courts are able to fulfill a given number of hours at the BCC . Just like any other volunteer, those who are working off their community service hours for the courts are able to get directly involved in the work, often times working right along with staff members on various campaigns and helping to prepare for up coming events.

If you are interested in volunteering and/or interning at the Beloved Community Center, please complete a Volunteer profile sheet, then contact Joyce Johnson at 336-230-0001, or at JoyceJ@belovedcommunitycenter.org to set up an appointment.

“But the end is reconciliation; the end is redemption; the end is the creation of the beloved community. It is this type of spirit and this type of love that can transform opposer into friend. It is this type of understanding goodwill that will transform the deep gloom of the old age into the exuberant gladness of the new age. It is this love which will bring about miracles in the hearts of men.” Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. from “Facing the Challenge of a New Age,” 1956
